'Strong for Summer' block
This block will run from 23rd April to Saturday 28th June.
Please note that the bank holiday Monday morning and evening classes on May 5th and May 26th will be combined into one class at 10.15am in the garden (3 Cartside Drive) or on Zoom if it's raining heavily.
What do I need for the in-person classes?
Please bring a water bottle and kettlebell and mat. If you are a new client, you can borrow a kettlebell for the first few weeks to find the best size for you. Make sure you use a cast iron kettlebell which is much easier to hold than a plastic, vinyl kettlebell.
Zoom classes
Once you have registered, you will be added to the class whatsapp group where the link will posted.
Monday evening announcement
St. Joseph's church hall is not available on 12th May and 23rd June so the 625pm class will be held in the garden (3 Cartside Drive) or on Zoom if it's raining heavily.
What happens if I cannot make a class?
Please message Sandra to see if there is availability at another class that week.
What happens if the instructor is unavailable?
If, due to rare, unforeseen circumstances, Sandra is unable to run a class, you will be notified ASAP and instead a class recording will be sent via the Whatsapp group for you to follow along to in your own time.
What happens if the venue is unavailable?
If the hall is unavailable or if the weather conditions make it unsafe to exercise outside, the class will be held on Zoom instead. The zoom link will be sent to the class whatsapp group.
How do I make sure I exercise safely?
- Please let Sandra know at the start of class if you have any new injuries or health conditions that have changed since the (PAR-Q) Physical Activity Readiness questionnaire terms.
- Please make sure that your workout space is clear of any obstructions.
- Make sure you are hydrated at the start and during each class.
- Stop exercising immediately if you feel faint. If you continue to feel dizzy, please consult your doctor.
- Don't attempt to do any exercises that are beyond your current ability.
- Please do not come to the class if you have any Covid-19 or flu symptoms.
